Spent half the day chasing a bug. Root cause: a stale cache key. Fix was three lines. The classics never miss.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was an N+1 query. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Rewrote the hot path in Kotlin. p99 latency dropped noticeably. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
