Spent most of the afternoon chasing a bug. Root cause: a race between two writes. Fix was a null check. The classics never miss.
Rewrote the hot path in TypeScript. The GC pressure basically vanished. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Wrote docs for the diff viewer that I'd actually want to read. If the README lies, the code isn't done.
Deleted 260 lines and the tests still pass. Best kind of PR. #testing
Small PRs get reviewed; big PRs get rubber-stamped. Relearned this the hard way again today.
