Flaky test finally cornered: it was a case-sensitive path on Linux. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Rewrote the hot path in C++. Allocations way down. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Spent two hours chasing a bug. Root cause: an off-by-one in the cursor. Fix was a single index. The classics never miss.
Added 8 tests and immediately caught a truthy check on 0. This is why we write them. #opensource
Deleted 79 lines and the tests still pass. Best kind of PR.
