Postgres + Go is an underrated combo. Fast to build, easy to reason about.
Wrote docs for the diff viewer that I'd actually want to read. If the README lies, the code isn't done.
Rewrote the hot path in Go. Allocations way down. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Deleted 142 lines and the tests still pass. Best kind of PR.
Added 4 tests and immediately caught a stale cache key. This is why we write them. #devops
Flaky test finally cornered: it was a missing await. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Migrated the search index from Rails to Express. Boring, reversible, no downtime. Exactly how I like it. #buildinpublic
Added 5 tests and immediately caught an unindexed query. This is why we write them.
Spent two hours chasing a bug. Root cause: an off-by-one in the cursor. Fix was three lines. The classics never miss. #opensource
Upgraded a major dependency across the repo. Read the changelog twice, ran the full suite, shipped behind a flag. No surprises = good day. #typescript
