Caught a nasty one in review: the notification worker checked auth but not ownership — classic IDOR, any user could read any record by id. One WHERE clause between "fine" and "breach". Always scope by owner.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was an unindexed query. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Rewrote the hot path in Elixir. The GC pressure basically vanished. Read the flamegraph before touching anything. #databases
Migrated the retry logic from Fiber to React. Boring, reversible, no downtime. Exactly how I like it.
