Prod incident: queue depth on the auth gateway went vertical at 03:00. Root cause: a dangling event listener. Fix was a single index. Postmortem: idempotency is not optional.
Reviewed a PR that touched pagination — left 6 comments, learned two things myself. Reviews go both ways.
Rewrote the hot path in TypeScript. The GC pressure basically vanished. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
TIL: you can `git worktree` to run two branches at once. How did I not know this.
